Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on the wonderful Kilfarrasy beach, one of the Cooper Coast beaches. This coast is located in the south of Ireland in County Waterford. It is one of the most wonderful beaches I have ever seen. The violent tides that it suffers cause that whenever you go, you find something totally different and new. It's magic.

Time

took the photograph one summer day around 6:00 in the morning. It was a very normal sunrise, of which I did not have many expectations. Still, the magic of mixing the remaining blue colors of the blue hour and the power of dawn gave a very nice combination.

Lighting

natural light

Equipment

I used a canon eos r, with a canon 17-40mm lens

Inspiration

I can't say I had a specific inspiration. Just my feelings on that day.

Editing

About the post-processing I can say it is a combination of two photographs since I took that moment of water moments after the base photo. In the second photograph I lengthened the exposure time a bit because I liked the effect more. So, in the post-processing, join part of the waves that the second photo.

In my camera bag

My equipment is quite heavy. I have a very large backpack, Vanguard Alta Sky 51DManfrotto Move 50. A tripod, Vanguard ALTA PRO 263AB 100 My Canon EOS R camera with several filters, Polarized , 3/6/9 ND filters, 3 ND graduated filters and a filter holder. The lenses that I have are: CANON 50mm f1.8, CANON 17-40 f4, CANON 24-70 f4, CANON RF 35mm f1.8, IRIX 15mm f.2.8, TAMRON SP 70-200 f2.8 I also charge a flásh with a portable reflector. For night photography I use other materials such as Flashlights color gels another flash and other things that I can think of, depending on the moment.

Feedback

Wake up early, get up early and even if you don't think anything special is going to come out ... Try it. the photo does not come out alone.
