WOW! Don't think I want to ride on that roller coaster!
See all

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Seaside Heights NJ, from an abandoned hotel rooftop at the boardwalk.

Time

Middle of the day

Lighting

Natural light.

Equipment

Pentax k5 and Lumix fz80.

Inspiration

The entire oceanfront was devastated by Sandy Storm and by the time I shot this most of the old boardwalk was already removed, but yet still months later this rollercoaster was still in the water. This amusement ride was known to all that have visited for decades. It's presence in the water was like a symbolic gesture of strength and reassurance of a more positive future for all families affected by this storm.

Editing

No photoshop

In my camera bag

I usually carry a pentax K5 and a Lumix fz80.
