This photo was taken in one of my early photo shoots in Ocala, Florida. Shot with a Nikon D200 with and two lights.Time
Day time shoot but shot indoors.Lighting
I had a set of cheap lights at the time and set them up about 6 feet from my model.Equipment
Nikon D200Inspiration
My model wanted to build her portfolio.Editing
Yes, did some touch up in Photoshop to smooth her skin and remove blemishes. In my camera bag
Currently I have a Nikon D850, D700, D200 and a Z50. Numerous lenses both wide angle and telephoto lenses. Obviously for an image like this you will use a portrait lense but I do like to use a telephoto lense to capture great head shots and tight crops without making the model feel like she is being smothered.Feedback
The first and most important in my opinion is to make the model feel comfortable. Discuss the shot before you meet them and then spend some time getting to know them. Encourage escorts to your shots as long as they don't interfer with the session especially if you have never worked with model in past...good luck and keep snapping!
