Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken along the river Stour in Dorset

Time

It would have been about lunchtime one bright day.

Lighting

Not really - just make settings fast enough to capture the action

Equipment

Canon 800D handheld with Sigma 300mm lens

Inspiration

I really wanted to take some photos of Kingfishers so I persuaded a friend to show me where he had been getting some good shots - so one bright day we met up and went KF hunting :)

Editing

Just a bit of light and shadow tweaking and light sharpening - it didnt need much.

In my camera bag

I usually have my Canon 800D - 18-55 lens, tamrom 90mm macro and sigma 300mm - sometimes my sigma 600 contemporary too. And always spare batteries and sd cards & lens cleaning kit.

Feedback

Find where other people have been photographing your target and ask questions as to where - but dont publicize it as people do try and protect their finds from masses of people rocking up and scaring it away !
