Location
This is a photograph of Leeds Castle in Kent, UK.Time
The image was taken at around 11am.Lighting
There was a storm moving in from the Northeast. I would have preferred to have taken the image later in the day with a more late afternoon light but the threat of a storm/rain meant I took this image early in case later shots were marred by the weather. I had planned on using a filter to extend shutter time and get a smoother image of the water and any reflections but the light available didn't allow for that on this occasion.Equipment
Samsung NX1000, Samsung 10-20mmInspiration
Leeds Castle is a beautiful example of English countryside. It is in wonderful condition (due to it being a privately owned site) and its grounds and moat makes it one of the best castles in the UK.Editing
I did a small amount of normalising the levels in Lightroom only.In my camera bag
I work (now) on M4/3 exclusively. My normal kit is an OMD E-M1ii and a Panasonic Lumix DMC-G9. I really enjoy using the Sigma Art 56 and 30mm f1.4 lenses and a selection of Zuiko Pro lenses. A Manfrotto BeFree travel tripod and Godox V1 flash. This tends to be carried in a Peak Design bag.Feedback
Plan the time, watch the weather. There are many angles to shoot this castle so walk around before you settle on the images you want.
