Location
I captured this photo late one evening in the backyard of a friends house. Morning Glories had taken over a trellis and were in full bloom with one lonely offshoot reaching out, stretching just enough to grab the wave of an adjacent building.Time
It was a late evening in a dimly lit backyard.Lighting
The lighting was very dim with only some LED lights strung on a fence and a low watt incandescent on a nearby porch.Equipment
Nikon D7200 Nikkor 16-120mm Lens Promaster Tripod Yongnuo 568 EX FlashInspiration
The flower and vine were the only pair that strayed from the large mass the plants entangled spiderweb of vines and blooms.Editing
I only adjusted the sharpness to make the edges of the flower and vine more crisp and slightly adjusted the contrast to darken the blackness of the background. In my camera bag
I normally carry Nikon D7200 x2, Nikkor 35mm, Nikkor 16-120mm, and a Nikkor 85mm lenses. I don’t typically carry a flash.Feedback
See camera settings for this shot below. Always scan your surroundings. Look for abnormalities, something askew, a focal point that is rarely seen, or small objects don’t necessarily stand out. You’ll more often than not find a photograph that others wouldn’t have imagined possible. f/5.6 0.003125 - ( 1/320 seconds ) 140 mm 210 mm (35 mm format) ISO 2000 Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode 23-10-2018 05:19:11 PM 0.00 EV Manual exposure Manual Manual white balance Center Weighted Average Metering mode
