Due to the recent's storm's passing however, the lighting was somewhat darker then I had anticipated. I tried to correct with editing. Just couldn't seem to get it just right. So I then decided to remove all light with editing and ice that was done, this shot became perfect. It has been a favorite of mine since.Equipment

In this case I did digital edit the lighting and removed all lighting from the original shot. Which was already dark due to passing summer storm.In my camera bag

Not true advise, no! I have none. Due to the fact that half of the best shots of my career have been by chance rather then preparation and planning. So shot what you love at the moment you love it before you loose the chance forever.
