I took this picture at my home in Brampton Ontario.Time
When I got up that morning I wanted to play around with my camera and this Begonia was in and arrangement on my front porch.Lighting
It looked so inviting to me in the early morning light nestled in the corner against the brick wall of my porch.Equipment
My camera was a Nikon 3000. With a simple lens of 18-55mm. I zoomed in as close as I could get while keeping the clarity and integrity of the picture.Inspiration
As the early sun rays hit my porch, this flowers face shone up at me like it was saying “pick me, pick me”. I knew I had to capture its velvety petals.Editing
Sometimes when I’m editing pictures I touch up the sharpness but I didn’t need to on this one.In my camera bag
I have my trusty Nikon 3000 with me at all times. With it I have my Nikon 18-55mm lens and my Sigma 100-400 lens. I also have the Nikon speed light SB-700 flash as my go to bag.Feedback
It’s always been a passion of mine to see how close I can get to a subject while keeping it in focus. So I personally look for anything and everything to photograph trying to capture as much detail as I can to make it look real and as though you can feel it through the picture.
