Mt. Baldy (a.k.a Mount San Antonio) is 36 miles east of Los Angeles downtown . The elevation of the highest peak is at 10,064 ft. I have been driving home for 40+ years looking at this mountain during winters and wanted to photograph the snow capped peak the way we see it from the freeways. Finding a good spot to set up for a quality shot is another matter... Eight high resolution shots (Canon 300 mm, f-2.8 lens) were stitched together for this photo. The file size of the original stitched photo is more than 70 MB (Viewbug has a 30 MB limit for posting) and I had to save it in much lower resolution for this postast
