Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in my yard located in Pittsboro, NC

Time

This was taken February 7, 2019

Lighting

Available light.

Equipment

This was taken with a Nikon D750 using a Tamron SP AF 150-600mm, Settings were 1/250, f/13, ISO 500.

Inspiration

We live in a wooded area and it was great to see the robins looking for worms in the early spring. This guy decided to pose for me showing his colors.

Editing

Yes, I shoot RAW and used Lightroom to post-process. The robin was somewhat backlit and needed several adjustments to bring out the colors of the feathers. I also crop the photo to improve composition.

In my camera bag

My favorite lens is the Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 GII ED, The lens that is on my camera most is the Nikon 28-300mm.

Feedback

Birds take lots of patience to capture.
