Location
Bottom of Pen y Fan BreconTime
It was mid to late afternoon in the winter. Travelling back to west Wales from Bridgend. Crossed over the mountain roads near Penderyn. One of my favourite places to visit.Lighting
There was beautiful winter daylight, just staring to turn towards evening.Equipment
Canon 77d. Tripod and just the 18-55 kit lens. Used a ND filter to allow for the slower shutter speed.Inspiration
Always loved this spot. Decided to take advantage of the dayEditing
I used Affinity photo, only to correct the tone and contrast. In my camera bag
Canon 77d, kit lens, Canon 50 mm 1.8, sigma 10--20 wide angle and a sigma 70-200 zoomFeedback
Find some tutorials online, take notes from more experienced photographers. As for the shot, take your time, patience is key. Use an ND filter also a tripod is a must for this kind of photograph. You need the stability. A 1.5 second exposure allows a lot of light in, hence ND filter. And 1.5 seconds hand held shots will always be blurry due to micro movements your body naturally makes, so always tripod
