Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in a makeshift studio in my kids playroom, I used black paper backdrop and edited the background in photoshop.

Time

I took this in the afternoon

Lighting

I shot this with two cheap amazon flashes, a small square softbox and an umbrella.

Equipment

I used a Canon 70d and 30mm 1.4 by sigma

Inspiration

I had been admiring beautiful photographs posted on facebook, and my goal was to learn similar techniques to make the photo look like a painting.

Editing

I edited this in photoshop CC, lots of dodge and burn.

In my camera bag

I do not have much in my bag, a 70-200, 105, 30, and a 17-40, all my equipment is several years old =)
