Exploring some of America’s most beloved alpine terrain, you’ll use your backpacking skills to travel into remote technical terrain where you’ll need tools like ice axes or fixed ropes to finally reach the summit. This remote landscape also contains hidden jewels of backcountry climbing sites. The course offers several days dedicated to rock climbing - your chance to climb granite spires high above tree line. You’ll develop skills that allow you to climb even more demanding peaks and summit mountains that few have ever stood upon. The challenges are significant but the rewards are great.
