From my rose garden in my yard. I do not know what rose this is called. Type of rose bush I have in my garden. It blooms every year and different colors. Mostly pinks and orange colors. It’s very pretty when in bloom.

This photo was taken outside my home in my yard. It is a mini rose bush that blooms multi colored roses. Mostly pinks, oranges and yellows. It gets many compliments when in bloom. It’s one my mom planted when I first moved here 12 years ago. Still living and blooming every summer.Time
I went out about 1:00 Pm a few summers back. It’s when the flowers are most bright and opened up buds.Lighting
There was no lighting used. Only the natural sunlight. I just loved how the sun captured the details of the pink and shades of colors.Equipment
This was done with my IOS iPhone shockingly. No manipulations. Sometimes I get better shots than with my Canon DSLR. I only used 3x zoom function from my phone. No flash was used only natural day light or auto focus.Inspiration
I was just playing around trying to take pictures of roses as one of my subjects. It’s a unique rose not your typical rose you see in stores. The colors are unique in this bush. I wanted to capture the unique beauty of it and the smell is my favorite. They smell like every other traditional rose too!Editing
No post processing used. It’s all natural just a lucky shot. I was actually loving how the background blurred naturally with the closed bright orange rose buds against the pink rose. And the green leaves to balance colors. This was an accident. I wasn’t trying to be professional on this one. But I loved how it turned out and one of my friends favorites!!!In my camera bag
Canon DSLR, Tripod, multiple lenses such as telephoto lens. Wide angle lens.Feedback
When you’re capturing roses daylight is key and it also had a fresh morning rain on the roses. Leaving that crisp bright color. Best time is first thing in early afternoon when roses are their happiest and not on a hot day. They don’t like the hot temps that climb in the 90s and if it’s hot and it rains, hot rain also affects their appearance. It’s best when it’s cooler to take their photos. Zoom in as much as possible and stand as close as possible. Not every photo has to be taken from standard eye view as most of the time we’re taking them standing up. I kneeled down on one knee and got as close as I could which is why I believe they come out so good this way.
