The photo was taken on a day trip to Colchester Zoo me and my partner go there quite often when we can and always have fun and are amazed by the animals.Time
This was early in the day and our first stop on arriving at Colchester zoo.Lighting
This may sound cliché but I always find with regards to lighting it's about picking your shots carefully taken plenty of shots at different angles and going from there really. Lighting can be a pain depending on the equipment you are using. So pick your shots take plenty to choose from and then last but not least edit till you get the desired effect.Equipment
I wasn't using any fancy equipment to take the photo itself, this was taken on my Huawei mobile phone and then edited later using Adobe lightroom. Adobe light room is a very useful tool and as I only take pictures on my phone currently having the app on my phone makes editing so much easier.Inspiration
I love to be creative with each photo that I take and edit. I can be a bit of a perfectionist and it can often take me a while to get the perfect shot. This particular photo of the giraffes and zebras all feeding was more of a right place right time photo and one I would consider a "lucky shot".Editing
No.In my camera bag
As I have mentioned all my photos currently are taken through my phone I am currently using the Samsung s20 ultra and then editing all my photos using Adobe lightroom. I do have a cool little tool which I can attach to my phone which can allow me to take pictures with a fish and also a macro lens. But it is very rare that I use this now. Eventually my goal is to acquire a decent camera to carry on my photography and expand on my skills as a nature photographer.Feedback
The best advice I could give anyone looking and either capturing something similar or just looking to take the best photo is. Just be patient with each shot you take and try different angles. And play around with the lighting settings. Perfection takes time so be patient and have fun while you do it.
