Cacti are just as diverse as flowers in any given region. It is a shame that in most educational cartoons or shows for kids, only the Saguaro cactus is shown.
Take this Opuntia microdasys var. pallida cactus for example. It is a "mutant" form, or "Funny Bunny" as it is locally called of the prickly pear cactus. Some think it might be a mutant cristate cactus, but nonetheless, its beautiful interweaving colors of purple and teal along with its rich rusty colored points where the major spines are, make it a gorgeous natural wonder.
