Too much of a breeze for a great reflection shot, but still too pretty to pass by!

Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken in Bruges, Belgium. My first visit to the country and I’ve fallen in love!

Time

I was walking though the town for the very first time, taking in all the splendor and this was shot after 7pm on one of my many stops.

Lighting

Being self taught, I usually play with my settings to get a few shots before choosing one that captures what I actually saw. This one was captured as moody, with low light

Equipment

Nikon 3200 at the time

Inspiration

I love being close to the water. I love having a view and I enjoy moody skies. These were my favorite elements of this shot.

Editing

I’m way too amateur for post ha-ha

In my camera bag

Spare battery, 50mm lens

Feedback

Know you camera and what adjustments you need to make to capture what you see. I often get frustrated with this, simply because I’m too impatient. Sometimes while trying to figure out my settings, the moment is lost. But, I persevere.
