Location
This was taken on the way to work in a small town in Japan. I was an English teacher at Higashi Hirose and winter was settling in. I couldn't resist pulling over to take the picture. It was such a mystical morning.Time
This was around 8am. It was one of the only times I ever saw this area like this. I'm glad I got to see it!Lighting
Nature have the best lighting. It really was just a lucky shot. I happened to be at the right place at the right time.Equipment
Actually, I used only my Google Pixel phone. I was annoyed I didnt take my camera (but I was on the way to work). It just goes to show how great phone cameras are becoming!Inspiration
It was such a moody scene, how could I not take it? The whole morning was magical! That was inspiration enough!Editing
I didn't change much honestly. I wanted the eye to be drawn to the rail and follow it, so there's a small vignette around the image, but only slight! In my camera bag
I'm only an amateur. I wish I could afford more, but usually, I have my phone (which is now a Samsung s10e), my Canon 1200D with my zoom lens and normal lens. That's about it really. Sometimes I have my tripod.Feedback
If you happen to see the fog and the morning sun rising, go to your favourite places! You never know what your favourite place looks like under a morning winter fog.
