Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Lisbon, Portugal. In a place called lxfactory. As soon as we saw the neon lights we knew there would be some cool photos there

Time

This was taken around 11am-12pm, it was the only place "outside" that had some decent light

Lighting

99% of the light in the photo is artificial, so we basically used what we had

Equipment

The equipment is the most simple setup possible even though the camera was almost 3000€. It was a Sony a7r II with a 28-70 lens and that is it. I was completely lying down on the floor and that was it.

Inspiration

I saw a LOT of Instagram posts like this one and it was actually my girlfriend's idea to take this photo

Editing

Usually, I ALWAYS edit each and every single one of my photos one by one this was not an exception, I started by correcting the white balance and then to pull as much detail as I could after that I basically just went to the HSL tab and gave it some pop and that was it. ps: HSL tabs are always fun for me cause I'm.... colorblind...

In my camera bag

At this time that I took this one I literally only had the a7r ii and the 28-70 which was rented. But now I have the Sony a7r II with a Tamron 28-75 f2.8, a 70-300 f4-5.6 and my Hama star61 tripod.

Feedback

My advice when anyone wants to take the "same" photo or a similar photo is D O N ' T you can take ideas, concepts or even colors but don't ever try to take the same photo and the end of the day you just have to have fun and be creative
