This one was taken in Mt Bromo, IndonesiaTime
We woke up early in the morning at 3 am to drive to the viewing point.Lighting
I was hoping to be able to shoot the Milkyway but the full moon washed up any chances to see the Milkyway. So I started to do a timelapse of this scene. this was one of the photo taken from the timelapse. the sun started to raise and the clouds fired up. The best thing about it is that I was able to capture the stars with the sky as the same time. it was a morning to remember.Equipment
Canon 5D mk iv Canon 24-70 mm f2.8 L, Sirui TripodInspiration
It's a very common viewpoint, however, I was grateful that I was able to capture the glowing clouds together with the stars. I was inspired by those days to night shot.Editing
I probably should revisit this using luminosity masking. but this was done in Lightroom with basic adjustment and I also used graduated and radial filter. In my camera bag

Make sure you underexpose to capture the details on the highlights. Now that I have 2 body, Looking back I'd probably try to do multiple exposures and see if it turned out better. I would use graduated ND filter to be able to help to bring balance to the lights. Wake up in the morning earlier than you thought because places like this get filled up a lot very quickly.
