Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken at Marakele National Park in South Africa during a self drive safari.Time
At around 9 am on Christmas Day 2018, after driving for approximately 3 hours without much luck on wildlife sightings, I commented to my wife that the only wildlife in the park are the dung beetles. (Ironic as dung beetles clean up after the larger beasts!) A few seconds later a large her of about 30 Elephants came marching over the hill straight down the road towards us.Lighting
I would not have had a clue about light, had the camera for about a week only and just snapped away without considering any settings.Equipment
Canon EOS200DInspiration
Well, when a Herd of Elephants march toward you, I guess that is inspiration enough!Editing
No post-processing was done.In my camera bag
Camera, 55 and 300 lens.Feedback
The real joy in photography is not the final result, it is the moment and the memory that you relive when looking at the photo, irrespective of the quality of the photo taken. (However it does help if you remember to remove the lens cap!)
