During Sunrise around 7 AM.Lighting
During sunrise, there's a small window of about a minute where the golden light just hits the peak without illuminating anything else making the place look magical. It was super cold (-5C) and I had to drag a huge log about 30kgs atleast out of the water to get this shot.Equipment
Nikon D850, Tamron 24-70 mm G2 lens and a MeFoto Tripod.Inspiration
I had seen a similar photo on my friend's wall before and I thought I have to get this iconic shot.Editing
I used 5 exposures to make an HDR in Lightroom and tone-mapped using Topaz collection in Photoshop.In my camera bag
I generally carry my Trio of Tamron G2 lenses (15-30, 24-70 and 70-200) along with a Rokinon 14mm for my Nikon D850 body. I also carry a second Nikon D7100 body with a Nikkor 70-300mm, Sigma 8-16mm and Nikkor 18-140mm lens.Feedback
Go out there early and pack warm it with gloves and warmers was cold (-5C) and windy.
