I took this picture up on a side trail on the Matanuska Peak Trail that leads to a little dam. This ice formed on some roots of a tree that were jutting from the side of a hill. I ready love how this picture captured the ice with all its cracks, and bubbles along with specs of dirt.
And I'm glad I had a chance to take this pic because after the 2018 Alaskan earthquake-s its tree fell into the trails path.
