At 4.30am I headed off, it was still about 23C, nice and warm, but this was about to change. Forecasters were predicting a week of cool weather, and the radar showed a nice storm brewing nearby.
Down the beach, it was so nice as the torchlight guided me to the spot I was to claim for my series of images to remember the occasion by. As I walked to the point, it looked as though the tide was on the way out, great! So I set up and leveled the camera, focused and did a few tests.
As time passed by, I realised I was a bit out with the tide thing! I was perched on this rock with cool water running around my feet...yep, the tide was on the way in!
Being stubborn, I stayed to enjoy the colour and flowing water as the sun pierced the horizon and a storm was brewing in the distance. This place has always been a favourite of mine and to experience and capture a moment in time is very important to me and I’ll never forget the serenity and calm I felt as I composed this image...
