Right you are. Thank you for commenting. The Midway is now a wonderful museum in San Diego. The statue is on the flight deck, and my wife was inventive enough to emulate the launch pose. If you ever get to San Diego, this is a must-see, especially if you served aboard her. Me, I never served on anything bigger than a destroyer.
