Treborth Botanical Gardens sits on the cusp of the Menai Strait, with the Menai Bridge connecting this portion of mainland Wales with the island of Anglesey.

The bridge offers a panoramic view of both landmasses, and I often take long walks from Bangor to Anglesey via this route. Close to the bridge, there is a small island which is a great spot for terns and wading birds; I recommend this site to anyone visiting Anglesey.
