A herring gull (Larus argentatus) observes its surroundings in Bangor, North Wales. These seabirds are known for their opportunistic feeding and nesting behaviours, which allow them to survive within densely populated areas. Herring gulls are large birds which can weigh up to 1.5kg as adults. I believe this species is under-appreciated due to its common status and boldness towards humans.
