A Gasteracantha (spiny orb weaver) in the dune forest of the Maputo Special Reserve. This Reserve has a diverse range of habitats in a relatively small area which makes it great for conducting studies. I found this guy whilst setting up traps for a dung beetle study. We referred to this area the gastera forest because they were absolutely everywhere.
