Location
This photo was taken on Kruzi. It is a beautiful part of Livno where nature tells a special story. The fresh mountain air, the smell of the forest, the gallop of horses and the spacious fields delight me again and again with each arrival and create a special connection with this place.Time
The photo was taken in the afternoon. After lunch I decided to stay in a warm home, since it was cold and cloudy outside. On persuasion of my friend, I picked up my camera and left the house. I didn't even know where we were going in such weather, but the scene that greeted me says it all.Lighting
There are several reasons why I chose the photo to be black and white. These colors highlight each wrinkle of the horse that give it a special power. His face, which radiates strength, courage, bravery, but also elegance, comes to a special expression. The picture shows a breath of coldness, and at the same time warmth and peace.Equipment
This was shot on a Nikon D7000, with an 16-85mm f/3.5 lens. No other equipment was involved.Inspiration
For this photo, I was inspired by the beauty of the love between nature and animals. With a indescribable feeling and energy that overwhelms me every time I come to this place and meet the horses. They are really special. You can talk to them, laugh and cry, and you will feel as if they hear and understand you. No animal in the world represents a better blend of elegance and audacity than a horse.Editing
I only converted a color image to black and white with the Black & White adjustment layer in Photoshop. In my camera bag
In my bag now I normally have Nikon D750 and 24-120mm lens which I use for landscape photography and Sigma art 50mm f/1.4 for portraits.Feedback
Spend time with horses before attempting to photograph them. Safety is very important in animal photography. Safety goes both ways.
