Location
In my homemade home studio in my office.Time
Taken in the earlier part of the day.Lighting
It was a combination of several shots combined together in Photo Matrix. The lighting was mostly from a north facing window, and little indirect electrical lighting.Equipment
Camera was a Canon 7D, with a F2.8 16-35mm lens, on a Velbon E640 Ball head Tripod.Inspiration
I've been wanting to try my hand at Still Life, and thought these items made a very good subject.Editing
Yes I took several bracketed shots and processed them by using Zoner Photo Studio 16, and finally processing them in HDR Photo Matrix. In my camera bag
If I am shooting local I try and take all the equipment I feel I'll need for that days shooting. I usually also take along my Canon Infrared cameras also. If I'm shooting out of town, I take several of my wide angle, and telephoto lens, tripod, monopod, lens cleaning gear. You never know what you might find to shot on any outing. It may be your picture of a lifetime.Feedback
Basically don't be afraid to experiment with different settings and exposures. If you don't like the results you are getting, try again with different settings and exposures The old adage pretty much applies, practice make perfect. It's sure a lot easier today than it was in the film days.
