The previous trip I had made to photograph the golden eagle Adonis proved a bust when Adonis simply refused to perform. When his handler released him, he glided down to the grass and just stood there in one place until the handler enticed him back to his hand with a bit of food. Then the same happened again a further two times before the handler gave up in great embarrassment, as there were quite a lot of people there watching the show!
However, today he was back on form and eagerly flying around when he was released. So I had to record that by uploading another shot of him off near the surrounding trees.
