Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture at my home in Sharon, Wisconsin. The birds helped me plant sunflowers by dropping their seeds. The bees come visit from my neighbor. I have many gardens in my yard so they pollinate my many flowers.

Time

The picture was taken in the early afternoon.

Lighting

I used natural light to take the picture.

Equipment

I used my Samsung cellphone without a flash.

Inspiration

I like pictures of sunflowers so I wanted a close-up especially with the bee on it.

Editing

I didn't do any post processing. I had to make sure I had a steady hand and do it quickly before the bee flew away.

In my camera bag

Since my cell phone takes good picture I don't use my Canon EOS camera

Feedback

You need patience because bees are usually busy flying flower to flower at a fast speed. If the bee stays on the item you are taking a picture of keep your hand steady and get as close as you can without the bee seeing you. Be prepared to snap right away.
