This was taken on Mackinac Island in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the fall. No vehicles are allowed so you either have to walk, rent a bicycle or go by horse & buggy. On the top of the hill to the left is the famous Grand Hotel where the movie Somewhere in Time was filmed. The hotel is celebrating the 28th anniversary of their Somewhere in Time Weekend this month (October) where guests are welcome to dress in attire from the Art Deco period like in the movie based in the year 1912.
