Location
This was taken in a shared studio while I was living in New York.Time
It was early in the morning because I wanted to have time to practice lighting before working with a client.Lighting
I used a single soft box to help create a dramatic contrast of light and shadow.Equipment
Besides the single soft box, I used my Nikon D5200 and tripod.Inspiration
At the time I was working on a series of self portraits to be put in a show. In the end I didn't use this image, but I held onto it hoping to be displayed somewhere else.Editing
I only did basic editing with light and shadow, plus converting the image to black and white.In my camera bag
Normally I travel light with my collapsible tripod, Nikon camera, and a couple of lenses.Feedback
