The photograph was shot at Arrowhead Park in Ontario.Time
It was around late afternoon. We have been walking along the trail for quite some time and my partner picked up this leaf off the ground and started walking with it. As we came around this part of the trail where the photo was taken it complemented the lighting and color of the forest.Lighting
It was late afternoon with a bit of cloudy sky. Which made for subdued light and perfect for this shot as it highlights the leaf perfectly.Equipment
This was shot on Canon 80D with Canon 50mm 1.8 lens. It was handheld as didn't need a tripod with the lighting conditions were perfect.Inspiration
It was the contrast of the leaf with the rest of the forest which inspired me to take that photo and decided to include her hand in there which gives it more of personal touch to the photograph. The color of the leaf was the reflection of the fall colors in the forest.Editing
It needed very little post-processing with just basic adjustments on highlights shadows and saturation but beyond that, the colors were so bright, to begin with, it didn't require much correction on top.In my camera bag

The best advice is to just go out and something as simple as a leaf on the ground could inspire you to create something quite remarkable. This particular photograph is special to me as it holds the memory of that day and inspires me to find beauty in simple things.
