This photo was taken in the porch of my local church - a harvest display..Time
I was mid morning a folk gathered for the Harvest Service.Lighting
The west facing glass entrance to the church dispersed the the mid morning light from the sun perfectly.Equipment
I used my Canon 40 with its standard lensInspiration
The flower arranger had brought such skill to the vegetable display. This award belongs to that person.I love the layers of different colours - by picking purple, red, green, white or orange as a single colour to look at the display the photo takes on a different look.Editing
I reduced the light a touch to give it a more gentle and muted look.I cropped to remove and thing around the edges of the vegetables. Although some of the items are truncated it helped the display to spill out beyond the frame, causing the display to look larger.In my camera bag
I always carry my one of my Canon cameras in my bag.Feedback
Cropping is key, fill the frame.Make the viewer's eyes scan the whole picture with no distractions. In this case let the tomato trail walk you around the picture.
