My friends and I mountain-biked down from Hwy 1 because we had firsthand experience of residents calling park rangers to tow away vehicles at the beach's parking lot (No parking is allowed at the beach parking lot after sunset.)
As the moon set low to the horizon, the beam turned orange and started its sweep right to left. I waited in this position so that the beam would point directly into my camera. Unfortunately, there was another group of photographers to my right that felt entitled to ALL of the beam angles and got in my way, stepping on my tripod legs and bumping me. So this is the (only) shot before that little scuffle. Felt like calling the rangers to have their illegally parked van towed.
