Hathi Gaon (Elefantastic)
An architectural project for housing 108 elephants. Its India’s first Elephant village. Here you can see a beautiful relation between Mahaut(Elephant’s caretaker) and elephant, where the hathi always moves with his Mahaut.
In this picture, on the left hand side is Chanchal, 32 year old Pregnant elephant and on the right side Sampa, 52 year old pregnant elephant. Elefantastic ensures that these elephants are having there food regularly and they consume about 200 kg of food.
Although Chanchal is blind but elefantastic organization is trying to retrieve her right eyesight back.
