We were watching the giraffes drink at a waterhole when this lone hook-lipped rhino emerged from the bush behind our vehicle. It was very wary of any noise and pretty nervous but it also needed a drink. The self drive 'clowns' in the car next to us decided to do what can only be described as a a series of donuts and spun their vehicle around in front of ours to get a selfie making a racket in the process. I half expected the nervous rhino to charge but it didn't. It stood around for a while, made up it's mind and slid back into the bush from where it came. We missed an opportunity to observe this magnificent beast drinking.

This picture was taken earlier this year on my last visit to Africa, it was the last rhino I saw. I hope it's not the last rhino I see in the wild.
