Behind The Lens

Location

This is a ruined ancestral mansion located in Talisay, Negros Occidental in the Philippines owned by a wealthy sugar baron. I just love taking shots of buildings such as this one with an Italian architectural style.

Time

People have been coming here before the sun sets in as the beauty of the ruined mansion house slowly unfolds before your eyes, then they light it up and you get mesmerized.

Lighting

Natural lighting makes this view a sight to behold in a 440 hectare sugar plantation.

Equipment

This was shot using just a mobile phone with a 16MP + 2MP rear camera.

Inspiration

This is a must see tourist spot when in Negros Occidental as thisbwas previously known as the Taj Mahal of the Philippines.

No post processing was done on this image.

In my camera bag

I always have my mobile phone with me and take random shots of anything that catches my attention. Always a handy device.

Feedback

There are times you just have to do shots at a distance and an angle that will make the picture perfect, taking into consideration the lighting for balance and effect.
