The history of the location dates back to 1771 starting as a tavern and inn. It was enlarged in 1828, 1848, and finally in 1891. Thomas Jefferson and James Madison both had stayed here at various times. It was open as a bed and breakfast as recently as 15 years ago.

the old abandoned building/house are one of my favorite things to capture...great capture. Captured the life of the flowers and the old/dead of the building.
