Behind The Lens

Location

The photo is taken in Delta of the Danube in Romania. An amazing place where Danube creates a lot of channels and lakes before going into Black Sea.

Time

This is around 11PM. Everywhere was quiet and here and there some fish or birds were splashing the water. Was an amazing serenity.

Lighting

I had with me my Olympus M5 mark2 by then and 7-14 pro lens and i wanted to make a picture to capture the Milky Way which was visible almost with naked eye.

Equipment

Olympus EM5 mark 2, 7-14,f2.8 Pro lens, tripod.

Inspiration

The view where i was fishing was amazing. I had to try to capture it on camera.

Editing

The only post processing in this photo is color noise canceling. Olympus M5m2 camera’s sensor gets really hot on long exposure and there was a bit of noise.

In my camera bag

Usually i get my Olympus M1 mk2, my all around amazing Zuiko 12-100 f4 pro lens, the amazing 7- 14 f2.8 Zuiko, 70-300 lens and 45mm. Since Olympus lenses are small i afford to take a lot:) Almost forgot about the CarlZeiss polarization or ND filters that are always in the bag for nature photos.

Feedback

Go fishing in the night. Always take your camera and a tripod and for sure you’ll have the opportunity to do even better photos than mine.
