Box canyon dividing the mesa top at El Morro Nat'l Monument, New Mexico.
Many people visit El Morro only for the inscriptions carved into the cliffs at the base of the mesa by early expeditions of Spanish conquistadors, Spanish colonialists, Mexican governors, and early US explorers.
But exploring the trails up onto the mesa top, revealing this box canyon, is my favorite activity there.
