Location
This photo was taken in my hometown of Bellingham, Washington, USATime
This photo was taken at around 4:30 AM.Lighting
Actually, the lighting was just lighting from the bus depot. At this time, I have just been experimenting with artificial light from the sources that are given and adjust as I go.Equipment
This is where I my budget is and always has been limited. I use a Canon T3i, my simple kit camera EF-S 55-250 mm lens. Tripod was generic from the department store and I had with no flash with me. I can only go and do what I can with what I can afford.Inspiration
At one point on this morning, I couldn't sleep. So, I decided that I just wanted to go out and get a picture of something that I haven't tried yet. I wanted something different and as I was driving through town, the entrance just caught my eyes.Editing
This photo was originally done in color. However, with the artificial light from the bus stop, the lights looked so blown up and unnatural. I adjust the highlights, and the darks, along with curve and then convert to Black & White for a bit more effect. In my camera bag
Nothing important in my bag that's really worth anything. My simple weapons to shoot are just that...simple. Canon T3i, Canon 50 mm 1.8, Canon 18-55 mm, Canon 85 mm 1.8, and new Rokinon 14 mm 2.8.Feedback
Shooting at low light was usually a challenge for me. But because I have always enjoyed shooting the stars and constellations, I took that knowledge and implemented the same basic ideas. Always, without question, use a tripod. It will help you keep that picture just perfectly still. Photographing around this time of day, hardly anyone was around. So I didn't have any distractions at all.
