The Mary D. Hume is a well-known wreck near the mouth of the Rogue River in Gold Beach, Oregon. As today marks the start of the Taiji dolphin hunt in Japan, I thought it fitting to show what I hope will be the fate of all whaling vessels. (The Hume was a whaler for only a short time, serving in many other capacities during its long career.)
