One of many highlights was our trip to Mt. Assiniboine Provincial Park in the southern part of the Rocky Mountains. Four days of hiking, spectacular views, enormous blisters (because of new boots) and a grizzly bear encounter close to our last campground are just a few things that made that hike special :) This is the view over Lake Sunburst and Lake Cerulean as well as Sunburst Peak in the foreground and Mount Assiniboine left from it. I would say, this is my most favourite scenery in the Canadian Rockies... so far ;) Watching the sun fading away from this point is just magical.
