Ok, so it's not actually the moon, but some of the geographic formations found within the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona look more like something you'd find in otherworldly realms. Some of the formations' layers are over 200 million years old and consist of sandstones, clays and mudstones comprised of bentonite, a product of altered volcanic ash.
