While in Thailand, we were lucky enough to go to an elephant sanctuary. Don't worry, we were assured that the elephants were treated kindly. Instead of riding them, we were allowed to feed the elephants, and go on a hike with them. We walked around in the jungle, single file, with an elephant in the lead. I'm sure he was wondering why we kept following him around!
