Bury Hill Ring, in Hampshire, is the site of an Iron Age Fort. In the centre of the ring stood an oak tree. Twenty years ago the tree died and finally collapsed during a night of high wind and rain.
There is something tragic about the scene the dead tree looks like a noble warrior who has fallen in battle.
