I am a regular visitor to this wonderful place. The work of the Hawk Conservancy is focused on the conservation of birds of prey. To do this they will display their birds flying in as natural a way as possible thus raising the awareness of the general public to the beauty of these birds. Cheyenne is a twenty five year old North American Bald Eagle. The word ‘bald’ is from an old English word for white. Everyday from Easter until October Cheyenne is transported around two miles away and released. With her exceptional eyesight she can see her falconer enter the display arena and she comes home. It is a truly emotional moment. I would be delighted to show any Viewbug members around the Trust, just message me and we can set something up.Editing
